Science
In Science we aim to engage the children through strands of enquiry which allow them to work scientifically across a range of topics. We provide them with the skills to carry out investigations as well as the thirst for knowledge so that they understand more about the scientific world around them. Science impacts on their everyday life, thus an understanding of science directly links to a greater understanding of their world. The pupils will learn a vast array of new knowledge and will be able to independently apply this when carrying out investigations as they work scientifically to answer investigative questions. We hope that our pupils leave St Mary Queen of Martyrs with an impressive bank of scientific knowledge and an enthusiasm to apply this to their understanding of the world around them through their ability to work scientifically.
