Performance Data
Statutory assessments are carried out by primary schools.
They assess how a child’s abilities compare nationally with other children in the same year group.
Children are currently assessed at Key Stage 1 (KS1) during Year 2.
SATs testing takes place at the end of Key Stage 2 (KS2) when children are in Year 6. Children take part in National Curriculum tests in English, mathematics as well as grammar, punctuation and spelling (GPS). Writing at Key Stage 2 is teacher assessed.
